Prostate Care News: Peter Cooke Featured in The Daily Telegraph

We’re thrilled to share that Midlands Urology and Mr Peter Cooke have recently been featured in The Daily Telegraph as part of a prostate specialist news feature.

The article, titled “Leading the Way in Prostate Care”, provides an overview of Midland’s Urology and showcases Peter’s work in robotic prostate surgery, including highlighting his role as the first in the region to perform robotic prostatectomy with the da Vinci robot back in 2011.

Peter’s introduction of Aquablation to the region is also highlighted, a groundbreaking robotic treatment for enlarged prostates that uses a precise water jet guided by ultrasound imaging.

With long NHS wait times and limited access to this technology in the West Midlands, this is a highly accurate procedure that also helps protect sexual function better than any other option available.

Midlands Urology was the first to offer this treatment in Birmingham and the Black Country in February 2025, making it a standout prostate care news story in recent months.
